Infertility Treatment

Infertility is the inability for a couple to become pregnant after no less than a year of trying to conceive. Some women who are considered to be infertile will become pregnant – but will have many miscarriages. In order to become pregnant the woman must release an egg from her ovaries. This egg must then travel through the fallopian tube and into the uterus. While it is traveling the man’s sperm will fertilize the egg. After fertilization the egg will attach itself to the inside of the woman’s uterus where it will grow into a baby.

There are many things that could be causing infertility and standing in the way of the process of impregnating a woman. There are many different types of infertility treatment that include; surgery, medicine, artificial insemination, and assisted reproductive technology. Some patients will choose one or even a combination of these infertility treatments to help them to have a child.
